Pre-engineered buildings (PEBs) are metal buildings that consist of light gauge metal standing seam roof panels on steel purlins spanning between rigid frames and light metal wall cladding. It significantly reduces construction time and aims to provide low maintenance. PEOs optimally utilize resources, and leverage technology on the whole. PEBs have gained popularity in India and the world for their durability and water and earthquake resistance. PEBs are versatile as it is easy to set up, expand, modify and transport. These are environment-friendly and can be aesthetically designed with unique features. There is an estimate of about 20-30% which can be saved in comparison with the conventional construction methods. PEBs can be delivered much faster in merely 5 to 7 weeks than 20-25 weeks by conventional construction methods. The modern techniques applied for the fabrication use 30% lighter steel than the regular steel. No use of welding and fabrication is required, resulting in efficiency and speedy work.
